IT Sales Business Development Manager up to £40k
Location: Wakefield (Head Office)
Salary: up to £40k + Uncapped generous commission structure.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven IT Sales Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team and drive the growth of our IT sales portfolio across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in IT services, managed solutions, and cloud sales.
The IT Sales BDM will focus primarily on our portfolio, which includes Hardware Break/Fix Services, Managed Services, Data Centre Services, and IT Solutions, targeting the SME and corporate market. This is a 50% account management and 50% new business generation role, where you will play a pivotal part in both maintaining and expanding our customer base. You will be based at our head office in Wakefield and will work closely with a collaborative team to increase productivity and maximise sales opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Proactively seek out new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients within the SME and corporate sectors.
- Account Management: Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets in IT services, managed solutions, cloud services, and data centre offerings.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other team members to increase overall sales productivity and achieve company-wide objectives.
- Customer Relationships: Leverage existing relationships and networks to accelerate sales, ensuring you hit the ground running with minimal onboarding time.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead the negotiation process and close deals that align with customer needs and company goals.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Regularly update the sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasts and reports to management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven IT Sales Experience: A track record of success in IT sales, particularly within Managed Services, Cloud Solutions, or IT Solutions.
- Sales Expertise: Experience in both new business generation and account management with a deep understanding of the IT sales cycle.
- Target Driven: Demonstrable success in meeting and exceeding sales targets. You are a self-motivated, money-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of customer objectives and the ability to tailor solutions to meet those needs effectively.
- Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop and nurture long-term client relationships.
- Self-Starter: Energetic, highly motivated, and capable of working independently to drive results.
- Network: Existing client relationships within the IT services or managed services sector will be a distinct advantage.
