Lead Software Engineer - GenAI

Basingstoke (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)
£80,000-£84,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

We're hiring a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of modern, cloud-native and Generative AI-enabled platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical excellence with mentoring and strategic influence.

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years' engineering experience with strong technical leadership background

• Expertise in cloud-native architecture (Azure / GCP), DevSecOps, and API-first design

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, TDD, Kubernetes, SOLID principles

• Experience building and deploying AI/ML or GenAI solutions in production

• Comfortable working with Python and LLMs (deployment, monitoring, integration)

What you'll do:

• Lead engineering direction for scalable, AI-enabled solutions

• Work hands-on building secure, high-quality software

• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams

• Mentor engineers and drive best practices across the team
