Job Title: Mechanical Fitter (Wastewater Industry)
Location: Various Wastewater Treatment Plants across Banbury, Thames Valley, Shutford, Ramsbury.
We are looking for 5 contract Mechanical Fitters to join our team in the wastewater industry. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to work on critical infrastructure projects in the wastewater treatment sector.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install and assemble mechanical systems, including pumps, blowers, and other wastewater treatment equipment.
• Support the installation of Motor Control Centres (MCC) by assisting with mechanical fitting of cable containment systems and ensuring all mechanical connections are securely fitted.
• Fit and install local containment systems (up to 300mm), ensuring proper cable management, protection of electrical components, and compliance with relevant safety standards.
• Assist in the mechanical installation and maintenance of equipment and systems for wastewater treatment, ensuring optimal operation and efficiency.
• Work alongside electricians to ensure smooth integration of mechanical and electrical systems for pumps, motors, and other treatment plant machinery.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Fully qualified Mechanical Fitter with relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Previous experience in the wastewater or water treatment industry is highly desirable.
• Strong experience with mechanical fitting and installation of machinery, pumps, and blowers.
