Roc Search looking for a Senior Scala Developer to join a key client within the Sports data market. They are a small, close nit group of talented engineers who work on some complex backend real time applications.

Our client have a polyglot and diverse development team. Some were drawn in by their love of sport, some by the intellectual challenge. The atmosphere in their team is really important to and they recognise that good software is a collaborative effort. They tend to work in fairly small, cross-functional teams, with software engineers, data scientists and systems engineers often working together on common problems.

They also try to keep process and bureaucracy to a minimum, and would rather be building and fixing things than sitting in meetings. They each plan their own time and work the hours that suit the team the best. This is a very backend heavy role

Tech stack - Scala, Docker Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Microservices/Event Driven Architecture. Other languages include Python, C++, TypeScript, PHP

This role is hybrid in London paying £85-£90k depending on experience
