Site Engineer / Inspection Engineer - Civil & Structural (Contract)
We're currently looking for a highly skilled Site Engineer to join a major petrochemical maintenance project in Lincolnshire. This is a contract opportunity ideal for professionals with a solid background in civil and structural engineering, especially within high-risk or heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise site inspections across a live industrial facility
- Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring alignment with technical specifications and tolerances
- Conducting as-built surveys, maintaining accurate records, and producing site documentation
- Liaising daily with site supervisors, subcontractors, and the wider construction team
- Identify and report on structural defects
- Ensure strict quality control standards
- Support construction of reinforced concrete structures, foundations, and associated civil works
- Providing regular progress updates to the client, attending site meetings, and supporting communication between stakeholders
Experience:
- Proven experience in civil/structural engineering
- Previous work in petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of site safety and quality assurance in live environments
- Knowledge of COMAH site operations is beneficial
- Valid MEWP Operator Qualification (e.g., IPAF PAL Card or equivalent)
